Fun at the Lake...

Last night we went to Wyandotte County Lake for some grillin and outdoor fun with The Woods and Trishy. We had shelter three allllll to ourselves and it was ginormous! We had a tasty dinner, went on the swings, see-saw, played some catch, frisbee and of course took a few photos. The weather was perfect! We took Louie and left the Jorge at home, (Louie never gets to go anywhere...he's just sooo big) and he had so much fun, he wasn't on a leash the whole 3 hours we were there. Poor Lorelai, Dan has done nothin' but make that girl smile and yeah, he made her cry last night...lol.  Sorry sweetcheeks, he didn't mean it!

Thanks guys for a great night, can't wait to do many more of these this summer and fall!

March of Dimes and the Royals game...

The morning of my birthday me, Momma and Papa J walked the march of dimes walk in the power and light district. Dan's brother Ken is a huge honcho for the March of Dimes and he was in charge of the event, so not only did we get to walk for a good cause we supported Ken and got to see him!They had free donuts, coffee, orange juice, breakfast bars, you name it! We walked around for a little bit before it started and ran into the Star Wars characters, yeah we were like the only adults getting our pics taken with them! It was hilarious and so much fun. I figured how appropriate, I had my picture taken with the Lord of the Darkside the day I turned 30!! lol After we did our walk they had free hot dogs, chips and ice cream waiting for us. They really took care of us and the hot dogs were grilled and oh so tasty. I am really looking forward to doing it again next year! I am so glad you guys came down Momma and Papa J!! More of you will have to join us!

Two days after my bday my hubsies surprised me with Royals tickets! We left for the K as soon as I walked in the door from clinicals. We got there just as the gates opened and got to watch everyone warm up. It was a great game! Royals won and Greinke pitched his 6th game strkining out 10 or more players! Such a fun night! We did however sit next to the worlds MOST annoying royals fan, it was hilarious though. I recorded him and his crazy appreciation for the royals, I will post it soon.

American Idol....

So, we have not been huge American Idol freaks this year, don't really know why, just didn't get into it as much as we use to. We have followed it on and off though. We have always liked Danny, for his voice and of course his story, who couldn't love a cute guy with a great voice who just lost his young wife?(even though his story has nothing to do with this competition, if you have a heart you can't help but feel sorry for him) 

We do like Kris too, a lot! We were sad to see Allison go and Adam stay. Yes, Adam is a good singer but we agree, he just isn't our fave, he would be much better off an 80's rock star! Tonight was the last show before the finale next week.  We missed their first performance but caught their second one. Danny and Kris did AWESOME!! Would totally be happy for either of them to win. Adam, yeah uh not good. We didn't like his rendition of Aerosmith's Crying at all! Why do the judges love him so much? He has a great voice but NO, he can't win.

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Birthday to Me! My birthday was so much fun with tons of food and family. Thanks everyone who came, and we missed those of you who couldn't be there. Mother's day was celebrated at my mom and dad's house, that too was so much fun. The food spread was amazing, I love our family get togethers!! LOL We had brunch complete with Mimosa's after church, then hung out and talked, and a silly photo shoot outside afterwards. The last pic is on mother's day of Dan and Kylie, I just had to put it on here, it was so cute. I still have March of Dimes pics to post, those will follow soon..... ps we missed you Momma Jackson on mothers day, wish you lived closer so we could have celebrated with you too!

I have posted pics from today and last weekend. Today was FANTASTIC! Mom and Dad Jackson arrived around 1:30, we ate at Hong's (the best chinese EVER) came back home to test out our new patio furniture(which by the way we love!) and have a glass of wine or beer or two! We sat outside for hours, until it got dark, it was so much fun! We even played catch. Yeah poor Dan, you shouldn't play catch with me on an empty stomach and a glass of wine! The pics of us playin catch are priceless, we laughed so much. In my defense though I didn't miss THAT many, just a few. Rematch when I have not been drinking!

The last two pics are from Stevie-poo's bday weekend, and of course it was a hit and we were all tuckered out at the end of the evening, Lorelai included. 

Tomorrow....the big day...the big 3-0!! AAAAAAGGGGHHHH We are starting off the morning with the March of Dimes walk and then a huge grill out with tasty food! Pics to follow....
