American Idol....

So, we have not been huge American Idol freaks this year, don't really know why, just didn't get into it as much as we use to. We have followed it on and off though. We have always liked Danny, for his voice and of course his story, who couldn't love a cute guy with a great voice who just lost his young wife?(even though his story has nothing to do with this competition, if you have a heart you can't help but feel sorry for him) 

We do like Kris too, a lot! We were sad to see Allison go and Adam stay. Yes, Adam is a good singer but we agree, he just isn't our fave, he would be much better off an 80's rock star! Tonight was the last show before the finale next week.  We missed their first performance but caught their second one. Danny and Kris did AWESOME!! Would totally be happy for either of them to win. Adam, yeah uh not good. We didn't like his rendition of Aerosmith's Crying at all! Why do the judges love him so much? He has a great voice but NO, he can't win.

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Birthday to Me! My birthday was so much fun with tons of food and family. Thanks everyone who came, and we missed those of you who couldn't be there. Mother's day was celebrated at my mom and dad's house, that too was so much fun. The food spread was amazing, I love our family get togethers!! LOL We had brunch complete with Mimosa's after church, then hung out and talked, and a silly photo shoot outside afterwards. The last pic is on mother's day of Dan and Kylie, I just had to put it on here, it was so cute. I still have March of Dimes pics to post, those will follow soon..... ps we missed you Momma Jackson on mothers day, wish you lived closer so we could have celebrated with you too!

I have posted pics from today and last weekend. Today was FANTASTIC! Mom and Dad Jackson arrived around 1:30, we ate at Hong's (the best chinese EVER) came back home to test out our new patio furniture(which by the way we love!) and have a glass of wine or beer or two! We sat outside for hours, until it got dark, it was so much fun! We even played catch. Yeah poor Dan, you shouldn't play catch with me on an empty stomach and a glass of wine! The pics of us playin catch are priceless, we laughed so much. In my defense though I didn't miss THAT many, just a few. Rematch when I have not been drinking!

The last two pics are from Stevie-poo's bday weekend, and of course it was a hit and we were all tuckered out at the end of the evening, Lorelai included. 

Tomorrow....the big day...the big 3-0!! AAAAAAGGGGHHHH We are starting off the morning with the March of Dimes walk and then a huge grill out with tasty food! Pics to follow....

Ok, So I haven't posted on here in forever, I have been BAD. The whole fam celebrated Trishy's Bday last Sunday and I was in charge of the cake. Well, I call her my little starfish and have forever so I was gonna surprise her with a starfish cake. Yeah, don't try to do a cake yourself when you work the two days before for a total of 20 hrs and have only a limited amount of time that morning before the party. So, there I am stuck on what to do, I have already colored the frosting I made for the starfish and just came to a realization I was not gonna have time to carve and decotate this cake. So, my dad, being the clever person he is says " Just frost the whole cake, put some little icing spots random on the top and on the edge of the cake write....I said sheet cake you idiot!!" Ahhh we were laughing so hard. So my dear Trishy got a shit or "sheet cake" for her bday compliments of my poor time management skills and our fathers humor. My mom however, didn't find it funny at all and was rather disgusted at me even though I told her it was her husbands idea...sigh. Starfish cake next year, I promise mom. 

The 18th of this month was our 6 month anniversary!! Dan and I can't believe it has been six months already! I came home after a long shift to find a new bottle of wine, glasses set out, a card and nice wine snacks. He is the most thoughtful and romantic husband ever! I love you boo! 

The last pic is of our darling Louie, the boy has a GINORMOUS bed for his GINORMOUS body and lately he is only using a corner of it for his head, it is the funniest thing. He is just so silly.

Where do I begin, what a crazy weekend. Fist of all Easter totally snuck up on us this year! I don't know how, it just did. Trishy's bday was the day before, on the 11th, I had to work so we celebrated with her on Easter. We didn't do a huge family Easter dinner this year, my dad had to work and my nana and grandad had everyone over later in the evening, and of course we couldn't go due to bowling. I couldn't believe they still had us bowl Easter night but hey what do I know! 

I was very disappointed this year with our egg coloring kit. We got a cute PAAS glitter and decapouge kit this year. Yeah, first of all, they left out our glitter and second of all there was supposed to be 250 shapes cut out in tissue paper to decapouge the eggs with. Or, 400 little pieces of torn tissue paper! I was so sad. So, we colored the eggs and then only decapouged one, I was so pissed I just stopped! lol Maybe next year we can get a complete set!!

We are celebrating Trishy's 25th bday this sunday, so lots of bday pics to come. Oh and the shot of Abbie, she is in the bag for George's bed we just bought him. It was so funny, she stayed in that thing all afternoon and when you walked by she attacked you. Poor thing, I wanted to explain to her so bad it was clear and we could see her the whole time! lol

So, we are back from the Lake, and we were sooo sad to leave. We had such an awesome time, the company and our lake house were AMAZING. The pics above are pretty much explained. The sad part about the trip is the sun didn't come out until the last day we were there, but that let us use the theater room and not feel bad about not being on the lake! The last one is of the new awesome two level pool they just put in, we will be using that this summer! Look closely, do you see anything odd? lol I love my dad, he is so silly!

Dan and I get to take a mini-vacation til Tues!! We leave early tomorrow morning for a gorgeous house that sits on Table Rock Lake. It is a GINORMOUS house, it sleeps 13!! We are going with my parents, my papaw (my dads dad that I haven't seen in so long!!) and my aunt and unlce from Illinois. I am soooo excited! There are 2 master suites, which is the first pic and my parents are so letting us stay in one!! It even has it's own movie room (pic above) with a 92 inch screen! We are going to grill, fish and watch a ton of movies all weekend! Lots of pics coming soon......
