We had such a great weekend, where do I start?!?!?! Well, saturday Momma and Dad Jackson got here in the afternoon and Momma Jackson and I went dress shopping to Ida's Custom Veils....yeah no need for anyone to ever go there...lol. It was ok but their prices were RIDICULOUS and I had so many more choices, fun and saved so much money at David's Bridal. After we shopped we came home to the boys and had Smokehouse (YUM) hung out, Bubs went to work and Momma and Dad Jackson went back to the hotel.Sunday morning, all the girls got together for some serious dress shopping at David's Bridal! We had so much fun, the two and a half hours we were there FLEW by. I tried on a ton of dresses and found the "one"! If my bubs didn't check my blog I would show you but sorry girls, gonna have to wait til October to see it, just know it's gorgeous! :)
While we were shopping my dad smoked 6 slabs of ribs, 6 whole chickens and 4 lbs of Salmon, it was soooooooooooooo good. My mommy made the BEST wedding cake...yup wedding cake! Mel and I have been craving wedding cake and I thought no better time than now!! It had 3 layers of white cake with a layer of raspberry and lemon curd in the middle....WOW it was good. My mom didn't really have time to decorate it, what she did do she did in 10 mins and it looked so cute! Thanks everyone for coming to the birthday/engagement party and hanging out, it was amazing! Momma and Dad Jackson, you fit right in, you never would have guessed we weren't all related....we will be soon though!!! :) (momma holt---how did we manage to not get any pics together?!?!---you can see you and Jim in the very back middle of the group shot! )

looks like fun times!!! that's awesome you found the 'one' already!! Ida's is pretty stuck-up and has horrible service (though i got my dress there).

We enjoyed being with all of you & your "families" on Sunday. Thanks so much for including us.....and I don't know how we didn't get any pics together. I have some cute ones of you & Dan, too. The pictures of "the dress" look so pretty & I'm glad you found it!!! So glad we got to meet Dan's parents, too. Funt times!!!! Love, Momma Holt
What a GREAT week end!! sorry it had to come to an end. Dad and I enjoyed meeting the rest of your family and friends,we feel like we have known they forever. I enjoyed the dress shopping, didn't do much of that while raising three sons, but I'm not so sure I could have handled three daughters. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had good times...and loved the cake and Asian salad! :) I suppose that would be why I'm already showing...I tend to focus on the food aspect of things. :) So, yeah...great party! See you at the Squish's!!
Sounds like fun! I think my mom was a little dissapointed that I liked the first dress I tried on! Wasn't really "an adventure". :) Glad you had fun though! Congrats again!
