I'm still alive!!!

This is Gus, how cute is he!! (pre ear-cropping)
Post ear-cropping.....with his hemroid doughnut!!
Yeah the mess I made....look closely on top, that brown should be red!
These past two weeks have been CRAZY!! On top of my normal 32 hours a week for school in class and in clinicals (that 32 hours does not include studying and homework time) I also worked 36 hours each week!!! I am beyond exhausted!! One of our guys was let go and they needed help picking up the empty shifts and someone called in sick which made for some 12 hour days....whooo hoooo (no not really whoo hooo). So my blog got a little behind.
On one of those days we made it out to Brian and Trishy's new home and helped them paint. They totally lucked out and got a GORGEOUS house for a REALLY good price due to the market!! They also lucked out cuz they loved all the colors the walls already were except for the yellow in the kitchen, they made one accent wall red and the others a pretty brown. Well uhhhh I was on a roll painting brown in the appropriate areas until I got to the top of the cabinets! I got about a foot from being done and was like what the heck!! It was so funny we all laughed forever, everyone was talking and watching me paint and no one noticed it. Brian said he thought to himself "wow, she is really movin on that wall....sweet!" Uh...yeah with the wrong color!
Last but not least, they also added to their new home a fur baby!! His name is Gus, he is an American Staffordshire Terrier. Isn't it amazing how much different he looks after his ears were cropped? He is such a cutie! Can't wait til he gets to meet his cousins George and Louie!!
Oh and that is not actually a hemroid doughnut but it sure looks like one!! Apparently they went from the old plastic white colors to keep them away from their ears to the new and improved inflatable ones....looks like a hemroid doughnut to me...lol!!!

Wow, you have been busy. That's funny yet disheartening about the color! I might have cried if that were me!

Cutie poopie! And how did you get nominated for the above the cabinets job? I recall you have a god-awful fear of heights. Weird...perhaps that's why you spaced on the color...you were petrified!

Are you taking up professional painting? I think I have a job (or 10) for you to do on the side!
