Making of the invitations!!

The invitation crew....one is sad due to non-ability to consume from the HUGE wine bottle!
So I come home from work tonight and I am sad, Momma Jackson has gone home. This week was so much fun and went by way too fast!! We got so much wedding stuff done and had a ton of fun doing it. Momma Jackson, I loved our talks, little outings, lunch dates, hanging out and many many trips to the craft stores!! Next time you come it will be more relaxing I promise!
So one of the days we put together our invites, me, my momma, momma jackson and mel spent a few hours doing that. I have a pic of the invites before the were put together, you will all see the final product in the mail in october!! I gotta leave something for a surprise!  I totally copied a design in a wedding book and created it myself through hobby lobby's paper and caraway printing's help!! We saved a ridiculous amount of money making them ourselves and they turned out SO CUTE!! Pics of Louie's play date with Gus soon....they totally loved each other!
**check out the size of that wine bottle, biggest one I have EVER seen!!**

(are you ready for 3 instant grankids papa jackson?)
Thanks Heidi for getting my sissy and Kylie in, we really appreciate it! What are you favorite cookies again? :)

Happy Birthday Kylie!!

The big 3, with a shiner on her right eye from bonking her face on her nightstand last week!
Whoooooooo! Credit Card!
Jessica and Kylie
Wow, three already, it feels just like yesterday we were waiting 18 HOURS for her in the hospital since she decided to get stuck!! (gosh darn maynard head!!) Today was her actual bday and we had fam over to celebrate along with hamburgers, hotdogs, the fixins and of course cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun and she cracked us up the whole night. When she opened her card from our nana and grandad a gift card fell out and she picked it up and started waving it around and screaming...."I got a credit card! I got a credit card...whooooooooo!" (see pic #2) It was so funny. My grandad was like "yup just like a girl, she already knows" Happy birthday Kylie I love you sweetheart!
The last pic is of her and Dan last thurs she asked him if he had any gum and he said no and she promptly said "I will share with you" and starts pulling her already been chewed gum right out of her mouth to split with dan, lol...she is so stinkin cute!
The day started off with invitation making with me, mel, my momma and momma jackson, pics to come in a few days, we had so much fun!
Some sad news, Dan is gone til wed in wichita for field training officer training so he can teach the newbies when we hire them. I am sad and miss him tons, he had to miss kylie's bday and we all missed him lots. Some happy news, Momma Jackson is here with me for the week and we are doing tons of wedding stuff!! Whooo hooo, not looking forward to Sat when she has to go home.  :(

Lots of good news....

Ok, so this post is lots of good news!!! I will graduate this September from radiology technologist school (whooo hoo) and the whole reason I went to rad tech school was so I could go into ultrasound school. You can't get into ultrasound school unless you have a nursing or rad tech degree. Well the lead ultrasound tech and other ultrasound techs at Truman, where I do my rad clinicals, just love me and really want me for their student(to do my clinicals with them). One of the techs is leaving in about a year and a half and they have been looking for a good student to replace her. So, she totally put in great words for me at Washburn with the director for me to start this August. It would be a few weeks before I graduate from rad tech school but they said it's not a problem, I just have to take my boards as soon as I can! I am SUPER excited. I filled out the worlds biggest application packet for ultrasound school and I will hear soon if I am in for sure for this august! Yaaay!
So that news brings me to my first pic, with the 99% chance of ultrasound school just around the corner Dan and I decided it wasn't the probably the smartest time to try to buy a house, we had plans too before but we will be able to afford so much more of a house after I am out of ultrasound school and it would be less stressful for me to have to work so much and go to school so much. So we found these awesome town homes for rent that are BRAND NEW in Platte city and we are moving in in September!! The are so nice, 2.5 baths, 2 bedrooms, granite counter tops, ceiling fans everywhere, a garage, back patio and all the things that go along with an apartment complex, nice pool, 24 hr fitness and a clubhouse. We are super excited and we are getting it for a GREAT price. So, after we move in, I will post pics of the inside!! I will let you know about ultrasound school as soon as I found out for sure!!! Yippppeeeee
Oh and the other pic is of George being a nerd, that is how I found him one morning, all wrapped up like a little burrito!

Thank you girls!!!!

The bestest cake ever of all time!!!!
               Irene, Me, Vicki and Apryl
                            Vicki, Martine, Brenda and Me

Let me start with this needed to be posted FOREVER ago, but I couldn't get my stinkin computer to download the pics right from Vicki........So my wonderful girls from my first clinical site (shawnee mission medical building) knew that Dan and I were gonna get engaged and married someday...they just weren't sure when. I only had a week left with them in March before I had to leave to my next clinical site and wasn't engaged yet. Well, being the sweet hearts they are they threw me a pre-bridal shower party because I would not be there while I was engaged (whenever that was gonna happen!) Well, they worked their magic because Dan proposed the next night after my shower they threw for me. ( I know where I need to go if I can't get pregnant....lol...have my girls throw me a pre-baby shower...lol)
Anyways, they made great food and got the most wonderful cake! Apryl went and got one of my favorite cakes, the kind with the cool whip icing from price chopper...love it!! Well the dude making the cake wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. First he was going to write Congratulations amanda. Well Apryl said he got to Cong and realized he was writing way to big to fit the cake so she just told him to write congrats amanda and he apparently needed to be told how to spell it too, hence the Congratz amanda!! We all laughed so hard. Thanks again girls for the greatest shower and time with you. I miss you guys very much, I wish I could have finished the last 6 months of clinicals with you. Even better, I wish you guys had room to add one more, I would love to work with you! Talk to you soon!!

I'm still alive!!!

This is Gus, how cute is he!! (pre ear-cropping)
Post ear-cropping.....with his hemroid doughnut!!
Yeah the mess I made....look closely on top, that brown should be red!
These past two weeks have been CRAZY!! On top of my normal 32 hours a week for school in class and in clinicals (that 32 hours does not include studying and homework time) I also worked 36 hours each week!!! I am beyond exhausted!! One of our guys was let go and they needed help picking up the empty shifts and someone called in sick which made for some 12 hour days....whooo hoooo (no not really whoo hooo). So my blog got a little behind.
On one of those days we made it out to Brian and Trishy's new home and helped them paint. They totally lucked out and got a GORGEOUS house for a REALLY good price due to the market!! They also lucked out cuz they loved all the colors the walls already were except for the yellow in the kitchen, they made one accent wall red and the others a pretty brown. Well uhhhh I was on a roll painting brown in the appropriate areas until I got to the top of the cabinets! I got about a foot from being done and was like what the heck!! It was so funny we all laughed forever, everyone was talking and watching me paint and no one noticed it. Brian said he thought to himself "wow, she is really movin on that wall....sweet!" Uh...yeah with the wrong color!
Last but not least, they also added to their new home a fur baby!! His name is Gus, he is an American Staffordshire Terrier. Isn't it amazing how much different he looks after his ears were cropped? He is such a cutie! Can't wait til he gets to meet his cousins George and Louie!!
Oh and that is not actually a hemroid doughnut but it sure looks like one!! Apparently they went from the old plastic white colors to keep them away from their ears to the new and improved inflatable ones....looks like a hemroid doughnut to me...lol!!!
