One last post before we hit the road....

 Okie dokie, so this morning I loaded up and headed to the LV for some girl time with my momma, which I NEVER get to do cuz of our schedules so I was REALLY looking forward to it. Before we left I let Kylie have a few cheesy poofs and maybe I had a few too! 

 Our first stop was a toy store for teachers basically, lots of odds and ends and lots of party stuff, we LOVE that store and rarely get to go so we had to make a stop! After we left there our next stop was a joint called Dean and Deluca....hence the free advertisement above. My momma has been there a couple of times and said I had to go and uhhhh this is our new lunch spot! I love this store, very culturey....my new word shush.....it has lots of goodnessy cheeses, meats, pastries, teas, chocolates, kitchen gadgets, you name it! Oh and they had the bestest deli, which we had our lunch at. I LOVE DEAN AND DELUCAS!!! Momma Jackson, we are so going here for lunch with my momma when you come to visit again, you will love it too! Oh and did I mention a trip to Crate and Barrel was after that, seriously can a day get more perfect, Dean and Delucas and Crate and Barrel with my momma in one day......sigh. 

A little shout out to my ladies at Shawnee Mission....I miss you guys very much!! I start Truman next Monday and I am sooooo nervous!!! I love your comments, so keep em coming! Irene, I promise I will bring in scones someday! Oh and that was chicken boobs with salsa, sour cream, cheese and crushed tortilla chips sprinkled on top and baked in the oven, very very yummy. It is a recipe off of kraft.com.  Vicki, when you get a chance send those pics my way I really want to post them and introduce you guys to everyone blog style, and let them know how sweet you guys were to me!!  I am gonna stop by Friday before work so you guys better be there!! I know you won't be Irene but I will stop by sometime mon-wed after we get back from St. Lewey!! Apryl, I am sure you are sad without me writing a cute little nick name on your cup!! ;)  Can't wait to see you guys soon, wish I was coming back there after my break, but like a little baby bird I need to stretch my wings and fly from the nest....lol...I crack myself up! Hi Brenda!!!

Random Sunday.....

So I don't have any big news, just thought I would post a few pics I had. Kylie looks so stinkin old in the one of her pretending to pick up Jess, she is so silly. I just can't believe she is going to be 3 in June, how time flies. 

The other two are from a normal night at home, well when we get to see each other that is!! I can't wait for school to be done, I am so tired of working full time and going to school full time, September is right around the corner, I just know it is!

On some fun news, Mel and I were able to meet Alison for lunch on thurs. Alison, it was so good to see you again. Us three talking was just like we were in high school again, nothing has changed! Wish you lived closer so we could hang out more! We can't wait for you to come home again, we need to go out with the boys like we all discussed. 

The countdown continues, we only have 3 more days til we get to go home to see Momma and Dad Jackson, we can't wait!! I am so looking forward to wedding planning and our "trips" momma Jackson and I take when we come home!! See you guys soon!! Oh and this time I get to go up in the arch, we haven't had time before....I am so EXCITED!!! We should have great pics from that. Tah tah for now.....

So, I no longer heart David Archuletta. I don't know why, he just doesn't impress me like he use to. I was glad to see Chikezie go but I wouldn't have been sad if Jason went either, I did not like him last week, either did bubs. We want to see David C and Michael get into the top. As for the girls, we don't like Kristy so much. We love Brooke and Carly. Sigh....another week til we get to hear them again. Good god I hope they don't have to sing Dolly Parton songs since she will be there next week, I will die if they do! Is anyone else excited to see Chikezie go?

So, today Mel, Suishi, Alison and I were supposed to go to Chanute to see Janalin and Margeaux but Mel was sick. She called at 7 in the morning and sounded like POOP so we didn't go. (sorry Jan, looking forward to picking another day soon) 

Well, I totally saw an opportunity to snatch  away Suishi for a little bit to give mel some R&R and to be selfish and spend some time with him. So, I picked up Suishi in the morning and we ran some errands together. First stop, Kohls, to get Yurtle of course!! Next stop, hobby lobby!! I have turned Suishi on to hobby lobby time (which is good we were there forever)! He LOVED the umbrellas in the spring section, we played with them all and he picked them out all by the correct colors, he is a genius!! The funniest part of hobby lobby had to be while we were waiting in line, we had to wait a little longer than usual. I was just standing there, holding suishi cuz he asked to be picked up out of the cart. He looks at my neck, points and screams "that's a mold!" I was laughing so hard, he was referring to the little mole I have on my neck...lol.  After that we were on our way home for lunch but he said "Manda's home!" I asked why he wanted to go to my home and he said "see puppies"! So we made a stop to see george and Louie. He loved Louie, he  hadn't seen him in a while and I thought he might be a little scared of him but uh he loved him! Then off back home we went. Thanks Suishi for the great morning, we have to do it again sometime soon.  xoxo Oh and no kitkats were consumed....well maybe one little one...I'll never teeeellllllll!

Happy Easter everyone! We had so much fun coloring eggs and exchanging baskets! We decided we would either do silly or serious baskets for each other, but we wouldn't let each other know til the day!! So, as it turns out, we both did silly!! I don't know if you can tell but his basket is the one on the left, the rainbow furry basket. Yup, I said furry....lol! Mine is the tinkerbell basket! He is so silly! Check out the police car eggs in his too, too cute! Our roommate got up this morning and saw us and said "seriously you guys need kids, you are too old for this." It was so funny. 
I took the pics of the boys when I got home all by myself, I have no idea how I got the one of George, he is such a wiggle worm! Louie was perfect as always, you can dress him up in anything, he does not care.
Unfortunately we do not get to eat a nice easter dinner with our fams, we both have to work. I am gonna do a mini easter dinner for us two on tues, our first time off together that we can. Does everyone have big easter plans today? Have a hoppy easter everyone!

What were they thinking?!?!?

So, I am a little disappointed for two reasons(well actually three)! The first is that Amanda got voted off last night, what the heck?!?! The other is I didn't even get to see it cuz I had to fill in for someone at the last minute and work from 2pm-10pm. So bubs kept me updated the whole time. Did you guys get a chance to watch it? Is anyone else disappointed she got voted off too besides me and momma holt, I know you are disappointed too!
Finally the biggest reason I am sad is my bubs is gone til Friday night. He is 6 whole hours away from me in Garden City Kansas for supervisor training. He left tues a.m. and I am soooooooo sad without him. I can't wait til friday when I get off work and I get to see him.
Oh and a big shout out to the newest member of the Jacquet family.....congrats again you guys, he is toooo cute!

So, I am still on cloud nine since wednesday! But I have had a little stress relief since then. For those of you who don't know, Dan and I work at the same police department, that is where we met. We are allowed to date according to our policy but we just didn't want everyone knowing our business so we chose to keep it to ourselves except for 3 other people who are close friends of ours. Well I want to be able to wear my ring at work so we decided we should tell the chief and everyone else finally. The chief gave us the congrats (and the only stipulation, Dan can't be my supervisor) and we told everyone! LOL.....I went from being single in everyones eyes to being engaged, to an officer they knew! The reactions were priceless and all good.
On to survivor night, this night was FOREVER ago but I have been promising to put it on and I finally am. We went to Brian's apartment to watch survivor and have a chinese feast! It was so much fun, we are always so goofy together. Thanks Trishy and Brian for the fun night, looking forward to our next! Love you guys! xoxo

So, wow, where do I begin? Tonight I had been planning for about a month, I got one of Dan's best friends Justin, to drive alllll the way from St. Louis to see Dan for his bday and it was a total surprise! Justin and I worked out all the details and he knocked on our door today around 5, I videoed it but uhhh yeah it won't be posted on the blog due to a very surprised Dan throwing out the bleepity bleeps! :) So, after that surprise Dan thought it was just us three going to Yardhouse for his Bday dinner, nope, Mel, Steve, Liam, Chris and Kim were there waiting for us!! He was soooo surprised again! I did so good this year, not a secret escaped! So we are sitting there, all of us done with dinner and Dan pushes his chair back really far from the table ( I really thought he really needed to go to the bathroom) and thanks everyone for coming out to his bday and says " I am gonna be selfish for a moment, I planned on doing this tonight before I knew everyone was coming. (and he got done on one knee and I just couldn't believe it, I started to tear up) and he looked at me and said "I love you, I want to know if you will be my birthday present for life, will you marry me?" I stated pointing at him and actually smacked him in his arm the whole time he was saying this because he told me the jewelers would not be done with the ring til late March and he had been calling me a liar teasingly all night due to all the surprises I had been planning for him so I was sooo calling him a Liar too....it was so funny. So, that is the finger pointing shot you see!! I said yes and of course we sealed it with a kiss. I was soooo surprised, he could not have done it on a better night, I did not have a clue, I planned all these surprises for him for this night and here he was planning the biggest surprise of my life! WOW I am so excited, I can't put it into words. I love you bubs!

Today is Dan's birthday! I am the the luckiest woman in the world to have met such a wonderful man. It's even better that he loves me as much as I love him. Bubs, Love is supposed to be as effortless as breathing, and as lovely as new fallen snow, and with you it is. I love everything about you and I will never stop. I can't wait to spend your birthday with you today and all the rest you will celebrate. Happy Birthday Bubs. I love you. xoxo

A surprise and a baby shower!

Momma Jackson called me yesterday and said they wanted to surprise Dan for his bday (which is this wed) and wanted to come see us today! So I didn't tell my bubs and they left bright and early this morning alllll the way from St. Louis. Well Dan worked last night and didn't get to sleep til about 8 a.m. soooo I woke him up when they got here around 11:30 a.m. and was like, honey don't be crabby and go open the front door for me please. He was half asleep and looked at me and said "you are freakin me out" and got up and was like what the heck when he saw his parents! It was great, you guys totally surprised him. So we had a nice visit til 1:00 and they headed back :( We were really sad to see you guys go but we know you had to get back and loved the surprise visit! We can't WAIT to see you in april when we come visit. I got a surprise too, Momma Jackson made us a FABULOUS scrapbook of us for 2007, it is soooo nice. I can't thank you enough mom for making it for us, we love it.
Later that night I went to Megan's baby shower for Shawn. I made them a blanket as you can see, they are doing his room in police cars, fire trucks and stuff, it's a cute set that babies r us has. So I decided to add Shawn's initials and a little police car to both sides of the blanket. You can see the whole thing better in the one she is holding up. Megan-- I had a great time at the shower, don't forget what I said, you better keep those legs of yours closed if Shawn tries to come while we are in St. Louis!! ;) I got to see Dave at the end for a second, it was good to see you guys again, Dan is sad he missed out!

We went to my parents house wed night for a bday celebration for my dad, it was his actual bday and Dan's is on wed the 12th so we just went ahead and combined them. Before our dinner we spent some time with mom and Kylie at the shop making dinner. After Dan and my dad opened their presents we gave Kylie her easter basket from us since Dan is getting ready to go out of town for training and easter is right around the corner!! I just had to add a pic of my mommies cupcakes, they are soooo good and look especially cute for spring, they have coconut on top of the icing with a chocolate cadbury egg on top, so cute and oohhhh so good. I still have to post pics of our survivor night with Trishy and Brian, those are coming soon. Tah tah for now....

I heart the public for getting rid of DANNY!!!!

Wow, we never thought it would happen and it finally did!!! Dan and I were yelling and screaming horray at the tv when Danny got voted off, it was hilarious! I was glad to see Luke go too, his voice was just not so good. We shall see how chikezee does next week, but he is on the bottom of our list. We watched the little re-cap of the girls and I must say Amanda was really good last week. I can't remember who else we liked but we will get to know the girls better next week since we have to! ;)

* I think Mel is getting sucked in!!! She watched it and liked a singer!! :) Yeah Mel, Jason is really good, and you are right, the song he sang is awesome, I bet you watch him next week again....and I bet you are at our american idol party! ;)

I still heart David Archuleta

Ok, so could we pleeeeeease be able to vote OFF people. We still hate Danny, he has to go, he was HORRIBLE tonight. We didn't think David Archuleta picked the best song to sing but we still love him and his great voice. David Cook was awesome, so was Jason (dread boy) and Michael. We were also surprised how good David Hernandez sounded singing one of Celine's songs. (Could we also please not have so many great davids....too confusing!) We still don't like Luke, hopefully him and Danny leave on Thurs, we shall see. We are still bad and don't really watch the girls, we will be forced to pick our faves when they get down to the top 12....next week---yaaaaay! So, let me have 'em, I want your opinions and by the way is there anyone out there who loves Danny....be honest.....

Cooking Light night....take two....

The meal.....homemade chicken nuggets, homemade mac and cheese and steak fries...yummy!

We had our second rendition of our cooking light nights....except it was deceptively delicious night. Well, my bubs hates broccoli and Mel found a great recipe that called for puree broccoli in the coating of the chicken nuggets and it was ohhhhhhh so good! Then we had home made mac and cheese from the same cookbook, it was supposed to have pureed butternut squash but yeah, it didn't turn out so well, we kinda over cooked the squash, oh well! Then we made rice krispie treats with flaxseed and brown rice krispies....no not chocolate....lol. They were soooo good too! Bubs loved the chicken nuggets, we told him our tricky plan after he professed his love for them and he said he knew there was broccoli in it, he saw the green but he couldn't taste it so it was good!
While Mel and I were making dinner Dan was playing with Suishi in his room, they were dressing his bear and turtle.....so cute!
Once again Mel has waaaay better pics than me, their camera is soooo much better than mine and we just tend to use theirs!! Thursday night we went to see Trishy and Brian and had us a survivor night and made shrimp fly rie, egg rooos, crab ragoo.....lol....it was allll very good, pics to follow.
