Ok....now I heart David Archuleta

Ok, so it is once again American Idol time.....I am sad to report however we were watching "the moment of truth" and lost track of time and missed the first 3 singers, including our all time fave Michael and Jason we like too......so we are sad for that. BUT, we did however get to see David, the one who looks like he is 12, WOWZA he is soooo good.  Robbie was one of our faves last week but he didn't do so good tonight, we thought it was just ok, not giving up on him yet though. David Cook from Blue Springs was great again. The two that surprised us were David Hernandez and Chikizie, they didn't really stick out to us last week but we liked them a lot tonight.  Then of course the final singer was our FAVE of the night, David the 17 year old 12 year old looking boy with the voice of a 30 year old. Oh and Danny, HE NEEDS TO GO!!
About the girls, yeah I don't know why but we are just not really into them this year, but we will watch tomorrow and see. It's funny cuz Dan and I totally have the same opinion on all the guys so no fun arguments after the show! I want to hear your opinions all you american idol fans, including you Momma Jackson, you skipped out on the last one on me! :) Oh and all you non-american idol fans, you only wish you were cool enough to be in our club!

Kylie......

Kylie was so funny opening her presents, as you can see on my video, she kept saying I don't know I have to open it cuz we all wouldn't stop asking her what it was! You can so tell she is a Maynard, my dad is FULL of one liners and so is she. When we had dinner at my parents the other night my dad got up to do get more lasagna, didn't say a word, he just left like one would do to get seconds and out of no where Kylie looks at us all and says....uh oh we lost one guys. We were laughing so hard and were like what? You are not even 3, you are so silly! I love kids, they say the darndest things! I can't wait to have my own kids and have endless entertainment!

London on the Go.....

Mom's new cards for the new part of her store....very cute.
This is what you see now instead of walls and a purple curtain....the deli!
Kylie and one of her Vday presents from me and Dan.
Scones anyone.....yummmm they look soooo tasty and they are.
Happy Bday momma! Mmmmm there is the cheesecake.

We went to my parents house for my mom's bday like I said on my earlier post and made a quick stop to the shop, we had not been there since she stopped the tea room and turned it into the deli. For those of you who don't know, she has a british shop that sells lots and lots of stuff from tea pots to candy bars from England. My parents have had the store for about 7 years and about 4 years ago added the tea room, well it was costing them too much to have all their employees (sucky thing about small businesses) so they turned it into London on the Go and basically the tea room is a to go room, they did LOTS of take out before so things have been going really well for them. The set up they have for the Deli is really cute too, I am so proud of them, my dad made the coolest counter.
This was our first time we had seen Kylie for Vday so she got our presents from us little late, my dad calls her a monkey so I had to get the monkey shirt! She is so stinkin cute. I have a video of her opening them, I will post that soon she is sooooo funny.
After the shop visit, on to the rents house for lasagna, great cheesy bread sticks and even more fabulous cheesecake(thanks for the recipe momma jackson)! Before we ate Dan and Kylie were watching Willy Wonka (the original of course) so I snuck a pic of them...which is my last one, aren't they so cute! They played cars, wrestled and watched t.v., she kept calling him her "brudder" all night, it was hilarious! You have to hear how she says Dan, she sounds like Forrest Gump.....Da'an.

American Idol..... I heart Micheal

Ok, so for all of you American Idol fans, Momma Jackson, Momma Holt, Danno....and for the closet idol fans, last night was the boys! Last night was the boys and we loved David, the older David from Blue Springs, he was great. We loved Robbie the rocker, not loving the long hair but it fits his look. We loved the younger David who is only 17 but seriously, looks like he is 12!! His voice does NOT match his body at all, very very good. Jason, dude with the dreds, unexpected great voice, he sang perfect day for a day dream and I want to buy it from him!! (it was 60s night) And of course we loved Micheal, the aussie, wow I love his accent but his singing was so good too. He looks the part of a singer, I want him to win. Oh and Danny, he was horrible!! Of course from the boy side, girls are tonight! We will be tivoing the girls, my momma's bday was the 8th and we were unable to go to the family bday party due to work so we are having one of our own with her. She requested lasagna which I have made and Momma Jackson gave me a great cheesecake recipe (chocolate and regular....with a choc graham cracker crust....yummo) that I tried for her bday cake. Note to self, never ever start a cheesecake from scratch at 9:30 at night. Yeah didn't get to bed til after midnight, but it was all for my momma and well worth it!
So, pics of tonight will be coming soon. Momma Holt we need to get together to watch american idol soon! We are totally having a pizza party for the final show, it would be even better if Momma Jackson could join us, she loves it as much as we do!!! So who did you hate...who did you love?

Are we in college again....?

Dancing in the kitchen having a grand 'ol time.
At Ted's Montana Grill , we had plenty of time to take these.......
because they were actually growing the chicken and bison we were about to eat.
Me, Mel and our balls!

Yeah, Mel and Stevie-poo that's what happens when you use my camera for silly pictures, they end up on the blog!

So Friday night we had a double date for Vday! We decided to try a new restaraunt Ted's Montana Grill, yeah we won't be going back. The service was HORRIBLE and the food was good but not that good! After Ted's, a bowling we went! Wow-- none of us had been bowling in forever, but it was great times and we all did pretty good actually. We played a normal game then stayed for cosmic bowling (when they turn off the lights and have neon lights on and blare music) it was fun!! After bowling, off to the wood's residence for some all night dancing, yup you read it right, dancing! They did not have good music at the bowling alley so we were craving for some and blarred it and danced in the kitchen til 3 in the morning. Then we had some visitors....I will let Mel tell you on her blog. It was hilarious! Thanks for another great night out guys, we must do it again soon!

Anyone else have a silly weekend?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Janalin is the greatest!! This is our fave.
Dan really likes this one, this one was in the ghetto in an alley.
Our Vday cooooookies.....so cute and oh so good. Gotta love the doughboy!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! We celebrated some yesterday, today I had to go to clinicals and work all night, but we are continuing the celebration with Mel and Steve tomorrow night, dinner then bowling....should be some great pics from that!
The two first pics are from our Trash The Dress session with Janalin last August, they turned out awesome!! Our absolute most fave is the first one, on a bench in front of the fountains on the plaza. Janalin, Dan's surprise Vday present was a hit, he LOVES it and can't believe it. We hung it under one of our framed sayings.....and they lived happily ever after..... it looks gorgeous, thanks again. Happy Vday to all, hope your day or day you choose to celebrate it is sweet! XOXO
Dan, Happy Vday my bubs. You are the reason I love getting up every day. I love you so much. I have been asking myself every second since we have met if such happiness is not a dream. I cannot yet comprehend this cloudless heaven. XOXO

Chewybear gets a bath....

Hanging out with chewy!

He is so cute sleeping on his new bed.

We took Louie to the Vet for a bath and nail trim, we usually do it ourselves but uhhhh since we have a roommate we only have a shower, a big shower, but just a shower none the less. Thomas has the bathroom with the tub so we can no longer bathe our chewy! This is the first time he has been taken somewhere for this and they sent him home with an orange bandanna.....lol it was hilarious! We aren't supposed to have great danes in the complex so I am thinking maybe the bandanna makes him look a little more black labish maybe? What do you guys think? Lol. Anyways, we let him sleep on the couch for a bit since he was so nice and clean, (and as you can see he is in heaven, he NEVER is allowed to get up there) and it's Dan's old furniture so its not like he was gonna hurt it. You guys get to post pics of your cute little kids and these are our fur kids so here ya go! I have two GREAT pics to post on Vday for Dan....can't wait.....

Night with the Breiners.....

You see the bread in that basket.....it wasn't there very long!
Dave, Megan, and Shawn in the belly!
Me and my bubs
Calamari pong.....don't ask, boys will be boys no matter their age!

Thursday night we met Dave and Megan at Johnny Carinos! It was very good food and of course GREAT company. I ate waaaaaay too much, and I think the waitress might have thought we were stuffing the bread down our pants and taking it home they way we kept asking for more. Nope, we ate it all, it was sooooo gooood!
Megan and Dave are expecting their first little bundle of joy, Shawn around April 19th. Megan you look soo cute pregnant, you are all belly. Hopefully I can be that lucky. We had a great time guys, can't wait to see you again and we can't WAIT for Shawn to get here.
Oh and the calamari pong, yeah one little innocent calamari must have fallen off the plate and it became a toy for about 2 mins.

Cooking Light Dinner night....Take One...

Mmmm, the feast...... cornbread crab cakes, red pepper chowder and yummy baguettes with cheese
Mel icing our made from scratch cake and frosting...it was YUMMY
Liam helping me with the "nions" he was such a great little helper
The boys doing the dishes.....as Mel and I relax after allll that cooking
Mel and I during Taboo

Thursday was our first ever Cooking Light Dinner night with the Woods and we had a blast! Mel made the yuuuuummmmy chowder with little baguettes with cheese also yummy, I made the cornbread crabcakes, they were good but probably not worth making again. Then Mel made the cake from scratch and I made the frosting from scratch, it was sooo good. Sushi was eyeballing the cake and said "cocolate cake" a hundred times. After dinner it was tub time for Sushi, who by the way was begging for it, he so knows his routine, it was adorable. After his bedtime on came the games, for this dinner night it was taboo! We had a blast, the game was close but the Woods prevailed......we are gonna kick your booties in a re-match Tornado Valley!! (lol)
So overall the dinner was a hit! I am sure there will be a night where we don't like the recipes as much as we thought we might, but hey we will have fun trying them! It is so fun to try new recipes and hang out, we are looking forward to the next one! Mel has the cute pics of us five, maybe she might post one....either way....please refer to mel's blog for more pics of our night.
Tonight Dan and I just got back from a fun dinner date to Johnny Carinos with the Breiners...it was soo good to see you guys, it had been waaaaaay to long. Pictures coming soon of tonight. Including Dan and Dave's calamari pong. ( I know you are all on the edge of your seats for that shot!) Tah Tah for now....

Seriously can we just be done with the sicknesses.....

Yeah, you are looking at a girl fed up with being SICK!! I rang in the new year with my 8 day 103 temp/10lbs lost sickness, then right after that Dan had such a severe sinus infection for a week we thought it was strep, now I have a sore throat, my ear hurts and I can't stop coughing, oh and I am extremely congested. Yeah and to go along with all that, I don't get a day off, I have school Mon-Thur and I work Fri-Mon, good good times.
So you know when you are all congested and sometimes clear water-like snot runs out of your nostril with NO warning, yeah well that happened while I was on a call last night, let me tell ya, little embarrassing. I was reading over the statement a lady just wrote me for a theft from her business and I completed it with snot--- while she was staring at me.... I just said oops and continued reading...lol. Can the sickness PLEASE be over....

P.S. Don't be fooled, I would take this head cold ANYDAY over what I rang in the new year with, I just would prefer neither!

Taboo.....

George's tongue was straight down my ear....lol....it was so gross!
Don't ask, boys are soooo silly.

Thursday Trishy and Brian came over for some dinner, dessert and games! I made waikiki meatballs....(YUMMMY) and they brought wine, brownies and vanilla ice cream....(MORE YUMMY)!! After we stuffed our faces we played the newlywed game, it was funny but... eh not worth buying (it's our roommates) then we played Taboo....SO WORTH IT!! It was hilarious, for those of you who have not played it, you are given a word on a card that you have to describe, no drawing just your words, but there is a list of 5 words below your word that you can't say or you lose points. Oh and you are timed, you see how many you can get through in a minute and a half or so, hilarious!! By the way Trishy and Brian we are willing to give you a re-match to try to redeem yourself for ALL those games you two lost! :)
This week we have lots of fun stuff planned, wed is our new monthly cooking light recipe testing dinner date with Mel and Steve. Mel and I got a subscription to Cooking light this year and once a month we are going to make dinner and dessert from our magazines for us and the boys....very fun! Thursday night we are going out with Dave and Megan, yaaaay we haven't seen you guys in FOREVER, we are very much looking forward to it! Does anyone else have fun stuff planned this week?
